First CD release featuring “Manager” now available on CDBaby

September 7th, 2007

My first release, featuring what seems to be my most popular song “manager”, is finally coming.

I have sent a few advance copies to CDBaby so if you live in the USA, you can already grab it on their website at http://www.cdbaby.com/natjm. From next week, you will be able to order it from my website, which will work out cheaper for you if you live outside of USA.

It is also getting digitally distributed to iTunes and the usual misfits, check out the shop page for links.

New track “the whole way”

September 1st, 2007

I’ve uploaded a new track, called “the whole way”. It is inspired by Al Gore’s “the inconvenient truth” docu-film and depicts a future in which giant mosquitoes have taken over the human race. There is also a political accusation regarding a certain world leader in it…

As you’d expect from this subject matter, it’s a rather dark and gloomy track, with layered synths to create the mood.

You can listen to it using the music player in the right hand side of the page, while reading all about it at http://www.natjm.co.uk/index.php?page_id=47

New eventful widget

August 30th, 2007

As i’m starting a get a fair share of request for gigs and it’s kind of hard to keep track of everything, i’ve decided to join eventful, as many other indie musicians have used it before me to plan their tours.

What can you do? Simply click on the widget at the bottom of the side bar on the right side of the website, and fill in the short form, requesting me to play in your city. That’s fast and easy to do :-)

Hilly Kristal, founder of the New York punk club CBGB, dies

August 30th, 2007

I’m sad to hear that Hilly Kristal, the founder of legendary club CBGB, has died from lung cancer, as reported by BBC News http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6969939.stm

I never went to CBGB, as i didn’t make it to New York until April 2007. By then, the venue was already shut down, though you could see where it once was, as its memorably shaped canopy was still there.

I can’t help thinking that the last year of Hilly’s life must have been quite sad, and losing the club must have been terrible, especially knowing he was seriously ill.

Pictures from gig last night

New video for “Manager”

Video for “manager” in its final editing stages

August 12th, 2007

I’ve managed to snatch one hour away from family duties tonight and edited the 2nd verse, middle 8 and final chorus of the video for “manager”. I still need to clean out some transitions and film a 15 seconds long sequence for one of the choruses, and that’s done!

My guess is i might be able to upload the video on YouTube on wednesday, or on saturday at the latest :-)

New track “You wanna be a man” uploaded

August 3rd, 2007

Apologies for the delay but i’ve been away on holidays then i was ill with stomach inflammation (still going but feeling better now).

Anyway, here’s a new track, called “you wanna be a man”. The track is rather catchy if i may say so - it was written on guitar but i’ve also used a fair amount of keyboards during the recording, to empaphise the rhythm and the hook.

As always, you can listen to it via the music player on the righ side of the page, and you can read all about it at http://www.natjm.co.uk/index.php?page_id=39
